There are no direct flights to Quito from the UK.
Infact, although you can reach Quito in one stop via various hub airports in Europe or the Americas, there aren't any non-stop flights from Quito back to Europe. This is because Quito's Marisal Sucre airport, at 2800 metres above sea level, is one of the highest hubs in the world. At that height, the air is too thin to provide the lift needed for aircraft to get off the runway, so you will be routed via Guayaquil on the return leg.
Flights from Quito to the USA are able to operate in one leg, as the distance is shorter, and they can often use smaller aircraft. However, you still have to deal with the inconvenience of using US airports (immigration clearance just to pass through etc), so on balance, there really isn't much in it.
Personally, I'd use KLM's connections with local UK airports (like Birmingham), and I'd enjoy the stunning views on the short internal hop within Ecuador!
