James Says

A good range of direct flights to Vancouver is available from the major UK airports, essentially London, Glasgow and Manchester - but forget about Birmingham as Vancouver is out of range from its runway (until the extension is complete).

Connecting flights to Vancouver

Flights to Canada via the USA require going to the major hassle of clearing US customs and immigration, even if you are only likely to be transiting there for a few hours (we hope!).

Flights to Canada tend to have a "double peak" during both the summer, and the winter skiing season. If you are booking flights to Vancouver with a charter airline, you may well get much better value by paying a bit more for extra legroom seats - the price of these is usually considerably lower than it is with scheduled airlines such as British Airways.

If I want to get things done, I just unplug my modem and put it in another room. In this weather, will need to deflate bike tyres too!
