Today (Thursday 22nd of January), British Airways are offering a one day sale to five long haul destinations. The offer includes very attractive fares to three cities in the USA - Denver, Houston and Philadelphia.

With the dollar at such low levels, now is an excellent time to visit the United States. If you are looking for cheap connections through to other US cities, it is worth noting that is Denver is the base for Frontier airlines, and United no-frills spin-off "Ted". Denver is also the perfect arrival point for the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The train journey from Denver to Salt Lake City is particularly highly recommended.

The other two cities in the offer are Johannesburg and Bermuda, both perfect spots for some winter sunshine.
