Bmibaby launch three more flights from Birmingham
The budget airline starts flights to Barcelona on March 29, Rome Fiumicino on March 30 and flights to Lisbon on March 31.
Flights to Barcelona and Rome start from around £90 return including all taxes and compulsory charges. Lisbon flights will be available from around £80 return.
The Barcelona flights will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, the Rome service will run on four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and the Lisbon route will be offered twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Bmibaby will be the only airline offering flights to Lisbon and Barcelona from Birmingham. On their flights to Rome, Bmibaby will also face competition from Monarch, who are also using Fiumicino airport.
Meanwhile, Ryanair offer an alternative means of getting to Barcelona with their flights to Girona and Reus from Birmingham, although both of these cities are some distance from the centre of Barcelona, making this option a poor choice for the time conscious weekend break traveller.
The Bmibaby Barcelona flights will operate into the Terminal 1 complex, from where easy transfers are available into the centre of Barcelona by train or bus.
