News: Ryanair scraps routes from Cork and Londonderry

Ryanair is pulling the plug on four routes from Cork and Londonderry this winter due to the rise in fuel costs.
The Irish no-frills airline’s flights from Londonderry to Bristol will stop at the start of October, whilst flights from Londonderry to East Midlands are being replaced with a new Birmingham service.
Ryanair is also scrapping two flights from Cork to East Midlands and Glasgow Prestwick, although Aer Lingus has said it plans to replace the latter route.
Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary said a 20 per cent surge in the operator's fuel costs had make the services unprofitable.
