Biggest Busiest Airports

Written by Mark Avery on Thursday, 08 December 2011. Posted in Features

Which Airport is the world's biggest? And the busiest?

Taken literally as the airport which takes up the most land mass, this is the King Fahd International Airport in Damman, Saudi Arabia. It takes up some 780 square kilometres - an area larger than many cities. By comparison, London Heathrow takes up around 3,000 acres, or just 7.5 square miles.

Feeling pretty knackered after my trip to Canada and back this afternoon. Canada was very disappointing but the journey was amazing ;)
