It is a shame that Glasgow Prestwick's route network has contracted in recent years, as it is a much more pleasant and compact airport compared to sprawling Glasgow International - even though the latter has a Garfunkles restaurant offering great views of the apron.
Although GLA is much closer to the city centre distance wise, Prestwick makes up for this by having a twice hourly rail link to Glasgow Central, and half price train travel to anywhere in Scotland.
