Flight Summary

Although there are no direct flights to and Ängelholm-Helsingborg from the UK, SAS do offer flight connections via Stockholm. However, considering Ängelholm-Helsingborg's location in the southern tip of Sweden, this is a bit of a doglegged journey. Also, finding flights via Stockholm isn't much use from most UK regional airports, as you will still have to take two flights to get to Stockholm. Alternative options for reaching Helsingborg The obvious option would be to look for flights to Malmö, but unfortunately, since Ryanair ended their cheap flights to Malmö in autumn 2007, and following the collapse of the budget airline Sterling, there are no longer any flights to Malmö from the UK. Instead, you can at least find direct flights to the Danish capital Copenhagen from numerous cities throughout the UK, and also from Dublinin Ireland. Getting to Helsingborg from Copenhagen Airport is actually surprisingly easy, whichever route you take. You can hire a car or go by train, using either of the following routes:

  • Oresund Bridge – around 65 miles, taking 1 1/4 hours by car or train.
  • Ferry from Helsingor – slightly shorter mileage, but means driving through Copenhagen. Around 1 ½ hours by train (including the ferry journey) – the ferry might sound scenic, but in our books, the Oresund crossing is far more impressive!

Destination Summary

Helsinborg is home to Swedish furnishing giant IKEA.

Feeling pretty knackered after my trip to Canada and back this afternoon. Canada was very disappointing but the journey was amazing ;)
