Flight Summary

Naturally, you wouldn't expect to find any direct flights to Harstad Narvik from the UK, but you can at least get connecting flights via Oslo with SAS. That is, of course, assuming your local airport offers feeder flights to Oslo, which only really applies if you live near London, Manchester or Edinburgh. From other UK airports, you might need to make a triple hop to get to Harstad Narvik, or you might need to consider the DIY option being dumped out at Oslo Torp by Ryanair, and then taking a domestic flight to Harstad Narvik from within Norway. These connections might not be guaranteed, but you might be able to get there in two hops instead of 3.

Destination Summary

Harstad, sorry Narvik, sorry Evenes, sorry Lofoten International Airport doesn't seem to quite be able to work out what to call itself, which seems surprising considering that Harstad istelf - the larger of the two towns which currently share the airport's official name - has a population of just 23,000! Clearly, people from this northerly part of Norway love to travel, as the airport handled over 1/2 million passengers in 2008 - similar to Inverness in Scotland.

Feeling pretty knackered after my trip to Canada and back this afternoon. Canada was very disappointing but the journey was amazing ;)
