Although Vienna is the home airport to the Austrian budget airline Niki, which was founded by Formula 1 legend Niki Lauda, the airline no longer operates flights to Vienna from London Stansted.However, easyJet have filled this gap, with the launch of cheap flights to Vienna from Gatwick (previously Luton).
Connecting flights to Vienna from UK regional airports are available via London, various cities in Germany, or through European hubs such as Amsterdam and Paris.
Vienna airport is linked to the city centre by the fast and frequent CAT airport express train service, although the local suburban trains are much cheaper, and not much slower.
If you do end up looking for cheap flights to Bratislava instead of Vienna, allow just over one hour to travel by coach between Bratislava airport and central Vienna.
