Flight summary

Saba has the distinction of being the world's smallest commercial airport, with a runway length of just 396 metres. Saba airport has more in common with an aircraft carrier than most commercial airports - in fact pilots must go through special training, and obtain a waiver from the Netherlands Antilles' Civil Aviation Authority, in order to land there.

Unsurprisingly, the types of aircraft which can use Saba airport are extremely limited. The inter-island airline Winair operates several flights to Saba and St Eustatius (Statia) each day from nearby St Martin.

To reach Saba from the UK, you will need to get to St Martin first. There are no flights from the UK to St Martin, but there are direct flights there from both Paris and Amsterdam. Alternatively, you could fly to either Antigua or Saint Kitts - which both have direct links with the UK. Winair offers regular flights from Saint Kitts and Antigua to St Martin.
