James Says
International flights to Iceland arrive at Reykjavik-Keflavik airport, which is around 25 miles away from the capital.
Don't be fooled by European maps which often include Iceland as a small inset – it is around the same size as Ireland, and harsh weather conditions can make driving slow. With this in mind, there is a well-established network of internal flights to the more remote corners of Iceland. These operate from Reykjavik's domestic airport, which is just two miles away from the city centre. There are regular bus transfers between Reykjavik's two airports.
