The Cape Verde Islands are being tipped as one of the next big tourist hotspots, with the inevitable boom in second property purchases already well underway.

Thomson Airways were the first British carrier to offer regular flights to Cape Verde, but the other main players have been slow to follow. Colonial links with Portugal ensure that regular flights to the main airports in Praia and Sal are available from Lisbon.
