Flight Summary
Flights to St Kitts are available from London Gatwick with British Airways. St Kitts flights were previously available from Gatwick with XL, but these were cancelled when the tour operator went bust in September 2008. Regular connecting flights are available via other Caribbean islands, with Antigua being the easiest place to transfer.Destination Summary
Until recently St Kitts (officially named St Christopher) was a relative backwater on the Caribbean tourist trail, but the island's south-eastern peninsular, which has some of the best golden sand beaches in the region, has been set aside for new hotels and resorts.Quick Facts

Why not St Kitts, I hear the Four Seasons hotel is one of the finest in the Caribbean?

That is why most Four Seasons guests coming from the UK will fly into St Kitts instead, and take advantageo of the ferry service provided by the resort. BA currently sustain two flights each week to St Kitts, but this is largely due to the fact that the route operates as a continuation from Antigua, where most passengers alight / board on the return.
Many Caribbean flights operate to double destinations in this manner, but we also understand there is an arrangement between BA and the St Kitts-Nevis government to subsidise this route, which previously was operated on a weekly basis by XL, using a Boeing 767, but also via Antigua. The Boeing 777 is somewhat larger, but Virgin's longhaul fleet from Gatwick to the Caribbean is based on the larger Boeing 747-400.
