Scandinavian Airlines Flights: Airline Profile and Routes Information

Cheap flights > Airlines > Scandinavian Airlines (SK)

Profile:

Scandinavian Airlines System, or SAS as they are generally known, were originally set up to be the national airline of Norway, Sweden and Denmark (Finland already had its own independent airline, Finnair).

Faced with ongoing competition from no-frills airlines, especially in a part of Europe which is otherwise generally known for high costs, SAS have tried various restructuring methods, including the unsuccessful launch of their "Snowflake" budget airline.

SAS's main hub is a Kastrup International just outside Copenhagen, from where they operate flights to several UK regional cities. SAS also operate a high frequency of shuttle flights from London to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
