GB Airways operate flights to a range of Mediterranean leisure destinations under a franchise agreement with British Airways. All flights operated by GB Airways use Airbus A321 aircraft, decorated in British Airways colours. For the summer 2005 season, GB Airways opened up a base in Manchester, which is complemented by their existing operation at London Gatwick. The launch of the regional BA Connect brand has also now been applied to GB Airways' flights from Manchester, although a number of poorly performing routes from both Manchester and London Gatwick have recently been cut. GB Airways are also launching cheap flights to Tenerife from Bristol and Nottingham East Midlands airport under the BA Connect brand. The airline bills itself as offering cheap flights with full service, with prices for its Tenerife flights starting from just £47 each way. Most of GB Airways’ routes are from London Gatwick, although the airline also offers flights to Malaga and several cities in Morocco from Heathrow. Although many passengers on GB Airways flights are taking advantage of loyalty miles earned on business trips with British Airways, GB still price themselves very much as a leisure airline, with Monarch Scheduled being their main competitor at both Manchester and Gatwick.
