Airline Profile

This regional operator based at Humberside Airport shuttles passengers between a dozen or so UK and mainland European destinations. Although Eastern flies to and from Bristol and Southampton airports, its primary focus is on northeast England (its main hub is situated at Newcastle, with its operations base at Humberside), with links to Norway, France, Scotland, Wales and the Shetland Islands.

In July 2010, a ceremony at Liverpool John Lennon Airport saw one of the companys Jetstream 41s named for the comedian Ken Dodd, and a small but loyal customer base certainly appear tickled by Easterns speedy check-in times, helpful cabin crews and highly impressive punctuality record.
