The main airport in Michigan is Detroit's recently expanded Wayne County International (DTW). Detroit is the most important hub for Northwest Airlines, who offer regular flights there from London Gatwick. Most other commercial airports in the state, whether on the eastern or northern side of Lake Michigan, have flight links into both Detroit and Chicago, with the state capital Lancing also offering connecting flights through Cincinnati or Atlanta.
