Flights to Delaware - overview
There are no major airports in Delaware which handle regular commercial flights. However, the state can easily be accessed from either Philadelphia (PHL) or Baltimore Washington (BWI) airports. Generally, there is a much greater choice of flights from the UK to Philadelphia, whose airport is on the south west side of the city, giving slightly easier road access (via Interstate 13) to Delaware than BWI.
If you're unable to find good value flights to Philadelphia or Baltimore, it might be worth looking for flights to New York instead. There are regular train services operating between New York Newark (EWR) airport and Wilmington, Delaware; with regional services from Wilmington continuing through the state capital Dover down to most other major towns on the Delmarva Peninsular.
