Plymouth airport is the main operations base for the regional airline Air Southwest, who currently offer flights from Plymouth to London, Jersey, Manchester and Leeds, with some services operating via Bristol or Newquay. At just over 750 metres long, the runway at Plymouth airport is too short for most other airlines to be interested in operating here, so passengers will usually try Exeter, then Bristol, and then London, depending on the destination required.
