Cheap flights to Europe from Norwich Airport

Norwich has always had a reasonable network of charter flights to popular European leisure destinations, combined with various onward connections through Amsterdam, courtesy of KLM. The arrival of Flybe has seen both of these markets opened up to competition, with the budget airline offering routes to various destinations in France and Spain, together with flights to Faro (Portugal) and Geneva (Switzerland). For the winter 2006 season, Flybe has also gone into direct competition with KLM on the Amsterdam route. The closest London airport to Norwich is Stansted, from where a huge range of European destinations can be reached, courtesy of no-frills carriers such as Easyjet and Ryanair. Stansted airport is just under two hours' train journey from Norwich, with services running hourly during the day (change at Ely).
