London City offers flights to most major European business hubs, especially cities in Germany and the Low Countries which are only a short hop across the Channel. London City is currently the only UK airport to offer direct flights to Antwerp (VLM) in Belgium or Bern (Darwin Airlines) in Switzerland. As with domestic flights, high frequency is an important factor in enabling London City to stay competitive, although in the case of Paris, Air France offer the additional advantage of operating their flights into Orly airport, which is much closer to the centre of Paris than Charles de Gaulle.
