Humberside - Domestic flights summary:
The only flights within the UK and Ireland from Humberside are to Aberdeen with Eastern Airways and Dublin with Ryanair. This is partly because of the airport's relatively small catchment area when compared with other UK hub airports, but also because of the distance between the airport and the nearest city of any size, Hull, which is situated on the other side of the Humber estuary. We are often asked if there will ever be flights from Humberside to London, but for the time being we think this is unlikely. The amount of time taken to get to the airport would give flying no competitive advantage over taking the train, and there simply aren't enough slots at Heathrow to make any sort of feeder flights into London worthwhile.
