Glasgow is served by two airports - the main Glasgow International (GLA), and the budget airline oriented Glasgow Prestwick (PIK). The differences in convenience between using Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick are less pronounced than they are in many other European cities - Prestwick might be 30 miles away from the city centre, compared to Glasgow International's ten, but it does at least have its own dedicated railway station, with substantial discounts available for Prestwick airport users. Road access has been improved significantly since the upgrading of the M77.
