Doncaster flights:
The only destinations outside Europe (including Turkey), which are currently served from Robin Hood airport are Monastir in Tunisia and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. There are also occasional flights to Barbados, Florida and the Dominican Republic operated on behalf of cruise companies.Summer 2007 saw flights from Robin Hood airport to Toronto (Flyglobespan), as well as Florida, Cancun and the Dominican Republic (Thomsonfly). Unfortunately, all of these routes have been cancelled, largely due to poor demand. The lack of feeder flights into a major European hub from Doncaster means finding long-haul flights is a major problem unless passengers are willing to make their own connections. Instead, we would recommend taking advantage of the large number of direct long-haul flights which are available from Manchester, or using connecting flights to a major European hub from Leeds Bradford or Humberside. |
