Coventry's short runway precludes the operation of long-haul flights, but nearby Birmingham International and Nottingham East Midlands airports do offer a reasonable selection of flights to North Africa, the USA, Canada and the Caribbean. Additionally, Birmingham is also developing a good portfolio of routes to Asia.Since Thomsonfly, moved their Paris flights over to Orly instead of Charles de Gaulle, there have been a few possibilities for taking onward flights to a small range of niche destinations which are well served from the French capital. The French leisure airline Corsair (part of the TUI group which owns Thomsonfly), offer flights from Paris Orly to destinations such as Quebec City in Canada, St Martin and Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean island of Reunion.There are also a huge range of onward DIY connections available from Amsterdam Schiphol.
