Belfast City airport is compact, and easy to get around on foot. The short stay car park is adjacent to the terminal building, with the long stay facility still being within easy walking distance of the terminal.
Because of its proximity to the city centre, and its almost exclusive usage by passengers heading on short domestic trips, demand for parking at Belfast City airport is nothing like as high as it is at Belfast International. Consequently, all the necessary parking provision is provided within the airport boundaries. Compared to most other UK airports, the gate prices of Belfast city airport parking are still extremely reasonable - especially considering how close the airport is to the city centre. It is also possible to find special advance booking deals through some of the discount airport parking specialists. Belfast City airport is too close to central Belfast to have any major need for on-airport hotels, so we're not aware of any airport hotel and parking deals being available.

Can I leave my car at home, or am I better off parking it at Belfast airport?

George Best Belfast City airport is significantly closer to central Belfast than Belfast International, and can easily be reached by taxi, or by regular shuttle bus services from the city centre. Additionally, the local Sydenham rail station is just a five-minute walk away from the terminal (shuttle buses also available). Through coaches are also available to Londonderry. Whilst public transport at Belfast City airport is certainly much better than it is at Belfast international, in our opinion, Belfast City airport parking is also good value and hassle free.

Bottlenecks to watch out for near Belfast airport

Being so close to Belfast city centre, the airport is subject to the usual rush hour bottlenecks, but access to the terminal buildings from the A2 dual-carriageway, which runs parallel to the runway, is usually fairly straightforward. Watch out for sneaky speed camera vans if you're running late for your flight!
