Flights from the UK
Flights are available from the airlines listed below:
Galway is one of most important regional bases for Aer Arran, who have opened up flights to Galway from six UK airports, including London Luton. Flybe has also announced plans to start flights to Galway from Birmingham and Belfast. Galway airport is off the radar for budget airlines like Easyjet and Ryanair because its runway is too short for the type of aircraft they use.

European Routes
Aer Arran currently operate flights from Galway to Lorient in France. Attempts by EuroManx to operate flights to Paris and Málaga did not prove to be commercially successful. Galway airport's runway can only handle jets up to the size of the BAe146/RJ100, making opportunities for scheduled and charter flights from Galway relatively limited, although there will be flights to Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Hamburg for the winter 2006/7 season. Numerous other onward connection opportunities are available with Aer Arran via Dublin or some of the airports they serve in the UK.
