Halifax was a part of Zoom's summer schedule of flights from Belfast for 2005, although the airline have scaled back on their flights to Halifax for 2006, leaving just a London service available.

Air Canada offer flights from London to Halifax, although there is a brief stopover in St John’s, Newfoundland on the way.

There might be cheaper way options for reaching Halifax via Toronto or New York, both of which offer an extensive range of flights to the UK. However, both of these would involve going back the way you came in. Flights to New York additionally have a hassle of having to clear US customs and immigration. Many of the budget flights to Toronto do not offer onward connections within Canada, but there are plenty of domestic flights between Toronto and Halifax.
