The main airport in Istanbul is Ataturk International (IST), which has a rapid transport link to the city centre. The new privately developed Sabiha Gocken airport has hosted budget airline flights from Germany for a number of years, and will also be used for Easyjet's new cheap flights to Istanbul, which are being launched for the summer 2006. At the time of writing Sabiha Gocken, which is situated over 70 miles east of Istanbul, had no public transport links with downtown Istanbul – not even a bus!
