Geneva is a cosmopolitan city, being the headquarters of numerous international organisations. It is also ideal for access to a wide range of ski resorts in Switzerland, and nearby France. Onward connections are available by train or coach transfer. Geneva is blessed by a glorious setting on the western tip of Lake Geneva, the largest of the Alpine lakes, within sight of Mont Blanc . The fast flowing Rhone River , which flows out of the lake, cuts through the heart of the city from the lake and is joined on the south-west side of town by the Arve River . For centuries Geneva 's influence has spread well beyond its modest boundaries. It was the home of Calvin and the centre of the Reformation, and the birth place of writer and philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, whose ideas provided inspiration for those planning the French Revolution. The Red Cross, the world's first humanitarian organisation, was founded in Geneva during the 19 th century, and now countless international organisations are based in Switzerland 's third city. Geneva is also a major financial centre and attracts a cosmopolitan mix of bankers, industrialists as well as entrepreneurs looking to attract the wealthy to a host of new bars, restaurants and clubs. The townscape of Geneva , though not spectacular, is full of variety. The old town, which is dominated by the majestic St Peter's Cathedral, is situated on a hill above the left bank of the Rhone, and is brimming with quaint old streets, dramatic flights of steps, and ancient buildings. The rest of the city centre is hemmed in by a ring of grand buildings and wide streets built along the route of the old fortifications. On both sides of the lake are elegant promenades and extensive parks and gardens. The lakeside itself is punctuated by the mighty Jet d'Eau fountain, which spurts water 140 metres into the air. The quality of accommodation in Geneva is usually of a very high standard, but can be pricey. Geneva is busy all year round, so book ahead to if possible.

I thought I'd check Expedia for connecting flights between Jersey and Geneva, but the best it could come up with was a two stop service for well over a grand!

Flybe also operate this route, but only on a weekly basis, and they aren't taking advance booking beyond 7th April, so that is why their search results might not have come up. I would suggest waiting around and seeing if they come up with a decent fare when you can book for the whole month - try again in mid January.
Otherwise, you would need to look at a connecting flight, but this can be a false economy. BA fly direct to Geneva from Gatwick, but although I have taken this flight in May, I think they only operate it now during the ski season. So on top of the £174 flight price, you'd have to add in the cost and huge hassle of getting between Gatwick and Heathrow.
There are some no frills options using either easyJet or Jet2, but I would advise strongly against doing this, as you have no security in the case of missed connection, and you might also be hanging around the airport for quite a while as these flights are not designed to connect. Neither Geneva nor Jersey are Ryanair friendly airports either!
