James Says
British Airways's now defunct offshoot Go used to offer cheap flights to Lisbon, but for the time being easyJet is the only no-frills operator with flights to Lisbon from the UK. Otherwise this is firmly BA and TAP Portugal's territory.
Mark Says
On paper at least, Lisbon is the perfect mini-break destination. It has the nightlife, the food, the quirky shops and plenty of boutique hotel offerings, not to mention two football giants in Benfica and Sporting. If there was a cheap alternative airport within 50 miles I'm sure Ryanair would be in there like a shot.

I think it is highly unlikely that Ryanair will start flights to Lisbon unless they are offered a preferential deal at Lisbon airport. I can't see TAP Portugal allowing that to happen at their main stronghold!
