Flight Summary

Palanga International is the third largest airport in Lithuania. It serves the picturesque resort of Palanga as well as the country's main port, Klaipeda. The Lithuanian airline FlyLal operated flights to Palanga from London Stansted and Dublin during the summer 2008 season but went bust in January 2009. As a result of FlyLal's demise, there are currently no direct flights to Palanga from the UK. Conecting flights to Palanga are available with SAS via Copenhagen. Palanga is around 200 miles from the Lithuanian capital Vilnius - allow at least four hours for the drive, or about three hours if you are driving from Kaunas, which has inbound flights from several key Ryanair hubs.

Destination Summary

Palanga is the most popular resort on Lithuania's Baltic coast.

@Jodatu That might be slightly different. I only looked at SE HS1 on their own, also with flights fm Manston ceasing, looked at Ashford-EDI

@Jodatu Yes, SE HS1 Highspeed. Off Peak single was £1.80 less St P - Ahsford cf peak. I tried booking online, no suggestion of CDRs

@Jodatu Read the link - basically no advance tix on HS1, minimal savings offpeak compared to peak. Why would SE want to compete with selves?
