@Jodatu Read the link - basically no advance tix on HS1, minimal savings offpeak compared to peak. Why would SE want to compete with selves?

@Jodatu I think that's why so-called 'captive' (aka off the shelf) trains have a much lower risk profile than ones customised for UK non HSR
