Flights to Croatia - Overview
Croatia has always been the most accessible of the countries which line the eastern shores of the Adriatic, but the majority of flights to Croatia have previously been based on charter packages. Croatia developed into a major charter destination during the 1990s, and is now bracing itself for the budget airline invasion expected this summer (2006).
Scottish budget airline FlyGlobepsan have led the way with new weekly flights from Glasgow to Pula set to start in May. Meanwhile, Easyjet have recently announced new routes from the UK to Split and Rijeka (see respective city flight guides for more details).
Croatia Airlines have a well-established network of routes from several different UK airports to the Croatian coastal resorts, as well as regular flights from London to the capital Zagreb. British Airways also offer flights from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik and Split.
