More suggestions for finding cheap flights to Nassau
Nassau's proximity to the USA ensures there are plenty of flights to the Bahamas from most major East coast airports, making connecting flights to the Bahamas via airports such as New York a reasonable option.
US budget airline Jet Blue offer cheap flights to the Bahamas from New York (JFK), and there are also a huge number of flights to the Bahamas from the major airports in Florida, such as Orlando and Miami. We would not advise trying to find DIY connecting flights to the Bahamas via Orlando, as most of the cheap flights from the UK to Orlando arrive at Sanford, whereas the Bahamas flights depart from Orlando International.
Unlike Miami, Orlando is not particularly well geared up for connecting flights, but this option is fine if you're looking to combine a trip to the Bahamas with a visit to Florida. For a slightly more adventurous experience, Fort Lauderdale airport, as well as being a major cruise port, offers the opportunity to take a seaplane flight to the Bahamas.

- Make sure you eat well before catching heading to Nassau airport for your flight. This airport doesn’t appear to have changed since the late 1950s and the range of eating options is poor.
