More suggestions for finding cheap flights to Vancouver

You may or may not prefer to break your journey on route - but whereas those flights operated by British Airways and Air Canada should be non-stop (although Air Canada might well route you via Toronto), other airlines will often operate flights to Vancouver as part of a "double drop", involving a stop in other Canadian cities such as Edmonton or Calgary, or by picking up passengers from another UK airport en route (for example London Gatwick to Vancouver via Glasgow).

Flights to Canada via the USA require going to the major hassle of clearing US customs and immigration, even if you are only likely to be transiting there for a few hours (we hope!).

The low-cost flights to Canada often start at attractive lead-in fares, but become much less competitive during the busy periods. Flights to Canada tend to have a "double peak" during both the summer, and the winter skiing season. If you are booking flights to Vancouver with a budget or charter airline, you may well get much better value by paying a bit more for extra legroom seats - the price of these is usually considerably lower than it is with scheduled airlines such as British Airways.

If paying more for extra leg room doesn't sound appealing, then bear in mind the Air Canada have a slightly larger seat pitch (32 inches), compared to British Airways and Zoom (31 inches).
