Direct UK flights to Amman are usually only available from London. Connecting flights can be taken via other cities in the region, or through the usual European hubs such as Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Note that Royal Jordanian's flights from Paris to Amman operate from Orly airport, although Air France offer a more amenable connection through Charles de Gaulle airport. One of the problems with finding reasonably priced flights to Amman is that the Jordanian capital only has good links with other Middle East cities such as Beirut, Damascus and Cairo, none of which are particularly well connected with the UK. Another problem is that connections are not always particularly well timed - even where a flight nominally operates twice a day, the departures are often within an hour or two of each other. Flights from European cities to Amman tend to arrive in the Jordanian capital late in the evening, and return in the early hours of the morning.

Mark Says

Thought to be the oldest city in the world, Amman is a reminder of ancient civilisations. Although people do come here to see its history and excavation sites, thought to be Stone Age, it is a bustling business destination. There are also many museums here, but the most contemporary is the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, which houses works by Jordanian, Arabian and international artists. Known as the 'White City', because of the colour of its houses, Amman is a sight to see.

Someone actually searched for 'eurostar flights'? What on earth (or more like off earth) were they expecting?
