When British Airways first announced plans to operate direct flights to Bangalore, the services were only supposed to operate three days each week. This was subsequently increased to five when the route started, and the route now operates as a daily service.

With Bangalore being the hub of India’s technology industry, demand for London to Bangalore flights is very high, sometimes enabling British Airways to get away with charging a hefty premium for offering a direct routing.

However, there is also plenty of demand for flights to Bangalore from other cities in mainland Europe, and from UK regional airports, and much of this is fed through either Paris with Air France, or Frankfurt with Lufthansa.
