    Flights to Tunisia can be split into two distinct markets - the majority of visitors arrive on charter flights into the resort of Monastir, whereas regular scheduled flights operate from London to the capital Tunis. There are also a few excursion flights available to the island of Djerba. Considering it shares borders with war-torn Algeria and Colonel Gaddafi’s Libya, Tunisia is remarkably safe, tolerant and politically stable. If you cannot find suitable charter flights to Monastir, or if those scheduled flights to Tunis are looking a bit pricey, then it is relatively easy to transfer between the two by road. There is also has a well-developed suburban rail network around Tunis, with long distance trains operating further south on a much less frequent basis. The desert gateway town of Tozeur can also be reached via flights from France.
