Although there are no direct flights to Swaziland from the UK, the country is almost completely landlocked by South Africa, and has regular connections with Johannesburg.

Note that the main airport in Swaziland is Matsapha airport, near Manzini (MTS). If you are using an online travel agent such as Ebookers or Expedia to buy tickets, you will need to search for flights to Manzini, rather than to the capital Mbabane, which is around 30 miles from Matsapha airport.

The Swazi government plans to build a new airport at Sikhupe, although this has been seen as yet another lavish ‘white elephant’ designed to massage the ego of the extravagant King Mswati III.
