Connecting shuttle flights to Mombasa are available via the Kenyan capital Nairobi - other connections from European cities are available, but these are generally with leisure oriented airlines like Martinair (Amsterdam / Brussels) or Corsair (Paris), so it is not easy to make through bookings.

Having used this airport a few years ago, I must say that it is better than I thought it might be. The facilities are good (if a little basic), lots of shops and places to eat and very comfortable too! I would fly to Mombassa again.

I think what we could really do with is some quality scheduled flights to Mombasa - preferably with Virgin, I have flown with them to Florida several times. We went with the whole family, including grand-kids, and they were excellent.

The wife and I have a 40 year love affair with Kenya - we can fly scheduled to Nairobi, so why not to the lovel beaches around Mombasa?
